Trivia
  • Unlike the novel, the film is set over 12 years instead of 45 years
  • Based on a book by Cecelia Ahern originally called ‘Rosie Dunne’ in the U.S. or ‘Where Rainbows End’ in Ireland where the author is from.
  • It was filmed in Dublin, Ireland.
  • It was also filmed at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada.
  • Katie Dunne is not Greg’s daughter, but rather Brian’s (who wasn’t mentioned in the movie).
  • Sam Claflin was in Snow White and the Huntsman and Lily Collins was in Mirror Mirror. Both of these movies are based on Snow White.
  • Sam Claflin and Lily Collins have both played major parts in widely popular books that were adapted to movies. Claflin played Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 and Collins played Clary Fray in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.
  • Cecelia Ahern had a cameo but was cut out from the film. This was due to the fact that director, Christian Ditter noticed people whispering about whether or not it was Ahern in the background during the film’s screening. He felt that her cameo was a distraction to Rosie’s dialogue and the importance of the scene.
